Taiwan Tourism Administration Showcases Taiwan’s Diverse Travel Experiences at Dallas Travel & Adventure Show 2026
Prominently positioned within the exhibition hall, the Taiwan pavilion showcased the island’s unique mix of modern cities, breathtaking natural scenery, rich cultural traditions, and world-renowned food culture under the global brand “Taiwan – Waves of Wonder.” The pavilion quickly became one of the most popular booths at the show.
A PAVILION FULL OF ENERGY AND DISCOVERY
Designed to be colorful, playful, and highly photogenic, the Taiwan pavilion featured a giant bubble tea cup installation, with Taiwan Tourism’s beloved mascot OhBear appearing to sip from it. The eye-catching display quickly became a must-visit photo hotspot, drawing visitors into the booth and sparking conversations about Taiwan’s vibrant travel experiences and popular culinary culture.
Visitors to the Taiwan pavilion enjoyed a range of interactive cultural activities that introduced them to the warmth and creativity of Taiwan, including a photo booth, themed signage props, traditional pinball games, customized zodiac badges, Hakka-style paper hats, and DIY lantern-making activities inspired by Taiwan’s cultural traditions. These activities gave attendees a fun and memorable way to engage more deeply with Taiwan’s culture.
Throughout the weekend, representatives from the Taiwan Tourism Administration shared travel information and introduced visitors to Taiwan’s many tourism highlights. They promoted convenient transportation options such as Taiwan’s High Speed Rail and metro systems, along with special travel incentives including free half-day tours for eligible transit passengers (halfdaytour.taiwan.net.tw), Taiwan Pass travel offers (twpass.tw), and airport shopping vouchers for transit travelers (bit.ly/TransitInTaiwan).
Visitors also explored a range of Taiwan travel products on-site, including Lion Travel’s “Round-Island Rail Journey” itinerary and curated 4–8 day Taiwan packages offered by GTT Global Majestic Vacations, with a variety of itineraries tailored to different travel styles and preferences.
AIRLINE AND TRAVEL INDUSTRY SUPPORT
Taiwan’s strong connectivity from North America was highlighted through the participation of Taiwan’s three major international airlines: China Airlines, EVA Air, and STARLUX Airlines. Representatives shared the latest route information, travel offers, and onboard service updates, helping travelers better understand how easy it is to reach Taiwan while positioning the destination as a key gateway to Asia.
To further build excitement, the airlines sponsored lucky draws during the event, giving attendees the chance to win roundtrip tickets to Taiwan. To encourage deeper engagement, the giveaway incorporated a gamified mechanism in which participants increased their chances of winning by completing more activities at the Taiwan pavilion. These giveaways drew enthusiastic crowds and reinforced Taiwan’s appeal as an approachable and rewarding long-haul destination for Texas travelers. On the second day of the show, one lucky attendee notably won a STARLUX Airlines ticket for the second consecutive year. She shared plans to visit western Taiwan, including cultural landmarks such as Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum in Kaohsiung, highlighting the appeal of Taiwan’s in-depth travel experiences.
EXPANDING TAIWAN’S PRESENCE IN TEXAS AND THE U.S. SOUTHWEST
On the first day of the show, TTA hosted the exhibition’s FAM-TAS travel trade luncheon briefing for dozens of local industry partners, with participation from representatives of the Taiwan Tourism Administration and all three Taiwanese airlines. The session introduced Taiwan’s key selling points to American travelers, highlighting the destination’s appeal for outdoor, cultural, and culinary experiences. Airline representatives also emphasized their direct routes serving key North American gateways, including Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston (IAH), which are both run by EVA Air.
The Dallas Travel & Adventure Show marked another key milestone in the Taiwan Tourism Administration’s strategic expansion across the United States. Following strong engagement in Phoenix and Los Angeles, the Dallas event offered an opportunity to connect with travelers in one of the country’s largest and most dynamic source markets.
Vivian Lin, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Administration’s Los Angeles Office, emphasized the importance of growing awareness in the region. “Texas is a high-potential and strategically important market for Taiwan,” she said. “Through our participation at the Dallas Travel & Adventure Show, we were excited to introduce more travelers to the many reasons Taiwan stands out, from its incredible food and natural beauty to its convenient transportation and rich culture. We look forward to welcoming more visitors from Dallas and across Texas to experience Taiwan for themselves.”
The strong response from attendees in Dallas reflected growing demand among American travelers for culturally rich, convenient, and experience-driven destinations in Asia, with Taiwan increasingly emerging as a top choice.
